Chocolate Ganache tarte

At a friends recently we watched River Cottage with a raw segment. Chocolate ganache tarte made with avocado! It sounded delicious and odd at the same time. I had to give it a try.
The chocolate ganache turned out smooth and delicious. It took nearly a whole bottle of agave nectar to get it to a pleasant taste and it was still not sweet. I resorted to a little honey and that may have altered the flavour making it flowery. I didn't really want it sweet but with so much cocoa the chocolate flavour was very bitter and powdery without it. I wonder if using a bit less cocoa would work as well. The one I use is very dark.
The recipe was very quick and easy and the texture was very smooth and creamy. The avocados gave it a fruitiness and freshness that you don't usually get with an buttery ganache, once it chilled the flavours mellowed. It is very intense and rich and I didn't expect it to disappear so quickly, but even with a small slice as a serving it was gone in two days.
